This workshop is suitable for students of all abilities, however, you would need to know the very basics of using a sewing machine or, attend my one-to-one beginner class – “Getting to know your sewing machine”, this can be done on the same day, prior to the cushion course.

This is a very constructive workshop teaching valuable techniques which are often used when making other soft furnishing projects.  You will learn how to make, join, and attach piping, plus, insert a lapped zip into the rear of the cushion.  
   
You will learn how to:
Cut out your cushion panels and adjust measurements to achieve plump cushions; achieve correct pattern placement and available tools to assist; construct and attach continuous piping; insert a lapped zip into the rear of the cushion.

You will make a piped cushion that you will take home, along with the cushion insert.
