Machine Made Lined Roman Blind Standard and Cascading Hems

This is a simple method of blind construction, using rod pocket tapes attached to the back of the blind.  You will learn how to make standard fold blinds, where the folds all stack up neatly on top of each other and also, cascading fold blinds.  This is when the folds all cascade underneath each other, giving a waterfall effect.  I will give you free permanent access to the spreadsheet I have devised, which takes all the difficulty out of calculating where to place your rod pocket tapes.

You will make a sample size Roman blind, which will include all of the techniques required when making full size blinds and will become a valuable reference. You will be given comprehensive notes which include step by step instructions.

When making blinds for other people, you are legally obliged to ensure that they are compliant with current child safety legislation. We will discuss your legal obligations and I will demonstrate how to use the correct blind hardware and how to comply with the specific hanging regulations.
